Individual Pumpkin Tiramisu

Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts. Its creamy, decadent and has espresso soaked lady fingers forcoffee lovers like myself. As if it couldnt get any better I added pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice in the spirit of fall.

The pumpkin filling for my tiramisu is made with pumpkin puree, homemade whipped cream, and marscaponse cheese. I used Marsala as my liquor for this recipe. You can always use brandy or coffee flavored liquor.

Tiramisu comes in many variations. Some use raw eggsor whipped egg whites to createafluffy texture. Iinsteaddecided to cook my egg yolks with my sugar over a double broiler. I ended up with a thick binder for my filling.

Tiramisu can be left in the pan, re-covered, and stored in the fridge for 2-3 days. Note that once it's been dusted with cocoa powder, condensation can form a bit. That's totally fine. Instead, canned pumpkin lends the necessary richness and texture to the mousse– you dont miss the eggs at all.

Simple and quick I used monkfruit sweetener instead of sugar and it worked great. For garnish, I replaced cookies with fine granola. The recipe serves 10. Definitely worth trying, quite simple and fail proof

We were served this dessert at a party, and were immediately smitten. I've certainly had more decadent Tiramisu's ingredient wise, and this is what wowed us regarding this particular incarnation. It was light and rich at the same time! Ended up having seconds, and when I prepared the dessert myself, I created 6 individual trifles. A keeper of a recipe, for sure.

The eggs are whisked in a heat-proof bowl with granulated sugar and Marsala wine over a pot of simmering water. Whisked- and I mean really whisked. Its best to use an electric hand beater to add volumes to the eggs as they heat to a safe temperature, about 8 whole minutes.
