Because every second more that the shrimp is out of the water, it's losing a little bit of it's freshness and shrimp-y flavor. Also, it's likely that this shrimp was previously frozen and then thawed by your supermarket, or they were actually frozen and then thawed for the little ice mound that they're on. This means that if you are buying shrimp from your seafood counter, it's important to use it right away and not re-freeze it.

You can grill these on any kind of grill, from charcoal to gas to a Foreman. You could also saut them if you wanted, but then they would no longer be quick and easy spicy grilled shrimp, they would be relatively quick and easy sauted shrimp. Thats just not as fun to say or do. Our entire test kitchen was super excited to get their hands on these skewered shrimp and they were gone almost as quickly as they were cooked! Expect similar results in your kitchen.

This marinade is so simple and only contains two ingredients. I like to cook these shrimp in the Summertime on the grill like the recipe states below and then brush the shrimp with the sauce. The sauce is a spicy-sweet combo made of honey and sriracha sauce which you probably already have in your pantry. Shrimp isnt the only protein you could add this too. Try it on chicken or even tofu if youre vegetarian.

What to make for dinner is a never-ending dilemma. Whether youre at the store or standing in front of an open refrigerator, its still annoying to decide on what to make. To prevent wooden skewers from burning, soak them in water atleast 30 minutes before grilling. Eller bedre endnu, brug metal skewers, hvis du har dem!
