Easy Vegan Dinner Rolls  This Wife Cooks

For the filling:1 pounds Russet potatoes2 tablespoons almond milk2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives2 tablespoons nutritional yeast teaspoon salt⅛ teaspoon black pepper¾ cup vegan cheddar cheese2 tablespoons vegan bacon bits

How do you get the stuffing into the buns?

If you use store bought biscuit dough or make your own, then getting the filling into these buns is as easy as:1 Adding a couple spoonfuls of filling into a circular piece of dough,2 Brushing the edges of dough with egg wash and gathering 4 main points together,3 Pinching together the other in-between points together and securing them with a smidge of egg wash, and4 Rolling the buns over and placing them on the lined baking tray with the pinched side down.

While the dough rises a second time, preheat the oven to 375. Once the 30 minutes is up and the oven is ready, brush ½ of the melted butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the tops are golden brown. Brush the rest of the butter mixture immediately after they come out of the oven.

RWALBERG: I used Granny Smith apples! Mighty tasty! I found using extremelt fresh ingredients, like sage still on the stem and actual crushed garlic, made this dish a winner. Though I did double the recipe, it served about 12 comfortably. So SMOLECA, the portion of 6 its pretty spot on. When I did double it though, I used three stick of butter instead of four. There were no compliant since it still won me the trophy :-

Honestly, I don't know how these folks get jobs writing recipes. How much is a loaf of French bread --- 8 cups? et pund? what size can of vegetable broth? a carrot? stalks of celery? løg? æble? those can be wildly different portions. Can this be made in advance? I am a reasonably experienced cook and had to wing it to make this dressing taste right. It has all the components to be great - just sloppy directions.
